Updates At TinEye

TinEye is a reverse image search engine. You can submit an image to TinEye to find out where it came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or to find higher resolution versions. TinEye is the first image search engine on the web to use image identification technology rather than keywords, metadata or watermarks.

Here is a list of recent updates at TinEye:

  1. Removed log in requirement for TinEye! Registration is now optional, and offers some extra features.
  2. Updated the TinEye FAQ.
  3. Revised the TinEye bookmarklet info page for clarity.
  4. Introduced ads. Poor TinEye has to eat!
  5. Introduced automatic discard of search images after one hour.
  6. Updated the TinEye plugin for Firefox to version 0.5. This update includes a bug fix where if text is highlighted with a background image beneath it, the plugin is not activated.
  7. Updated the TinEye Terms of Service.
