Jalbum’s iPhone app creates stunning web galleries on the go

Stockholm, July 5th, 2010. Today, photo-sharing service Jalbum.net announces the release of its iPhone app. Adding to Jalbumʼs growing line of photography tools, the new iPhone app enables Jalbum users to browse, share and create stunning web photo albums from anywhere. The app is now available for download in the App store for iPhone.

Prepared for iPhone 4
The new Jalbum App will provide iPhone/iPod touch users with easy, remote access to many of the features and content currently available on www.jalbum.net. The app takes advantage of the iPhone 4 high-resolution screen, displaying photos with 4 times the pixels of previous versions. Features of the app include:
  • Create web photo albums straight from your iPhone
  • Upload photos to existing photo albums
  • View your own albums and spectacular user-submitted photos, conveniently listed in Featured, Popular and Recent albums.
  • Easy sharing by e-mail or copying album link to clipboard
“We wanted to combine the flexibility of Jalbums web album presentations and the ease of use of the iPhone. It makes a powerful mix that opens up for a completely new kind of usage of Jalbum”, says lead developer Daniel Plamann Solving the flash portfolio – iPhone viewing dilemma for photographers In a recent article by Scott Kelby (http://www.scottkelby.com/blog/2010/archives/9503), he describes that the industry is struggling to find a solution for showcasing flash portfolios on the iPhone or iPad. By using Jalbum albums built in Media RSS files to fetch photos and captions, the Jalbum iPhone app solves this problem. All customized photo albums whether they are flash, HTML or java-script based are equally displayed in a beautiful
viewing experience on the iPhone.

“Our vision is to provide total freedom in where and how photos are presented. Adding the iPhone app is in line with this vision and allows for on-the-go updates to Jalbum albums.”, says Carl Manneh, CEO of Jalbum.
