The Young Photographers Alliance was established in the spring of 2009 by industry leaders Jerry Tavin and Deborah Free to inspire, nurture, and fulfill the dreams of young photographers around the globe. The foundation seeks to provide financial aid and educational support through scholarships, mentoring, internship programs, and educational seminars to enable students to reach goals they may not otherwise be able to achieve.
