Canon U.S.A. Showcases Cutting Edge Imaging Technology at PhotoPlus Expo 2010

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., October 28, 2010 – Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, will be exhibiting a full range of imaging solutions, from input through output at the 2010 PhotoPlus Expo in New York City. On display in the Canon booth will be the Company's full line of EOS DSLR cameras and lenses, VIXIA HD camcorders, imagePROGRAF large format printers, PIXMA inkjet printers, PowerShot digital compact cameras, and REALiS high-definition projectors. Throughout the booth Canon will demonstrate various professional product solutions designed for specialty applications as well. Visitors to the Canon Booth, #200, will also be able to participate and observe Canon's famed Explorers of Light as they demonstrate their award-winning photographic and cinematographic techniques on the Canon stage with live photo shoots.

New REALiS WUX4000 Installation LCOS Projector
Visitors to Canon's booth will be among the first to see Canon's new REALiS WUX4000 Installation LCOS Projector, the Company's first high-resolution projector specifically built for the installation market. This new model delivers WUXGA-resolution (1920 x 1200) widescreen (16:10) images at 4000 lumens, accurate color, installer-friendly features, and a choice of three optional interchangeable projection lenses. The projector employs Canon's fourth-generation proprietary AISYS-enhanced LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) optical system, the advanced projection-display technology that delivers crisp, seamless images of intricate detail, high brightness, contrast and accurate color.

EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera
Also on display will be Canon's latest DSLR introduction, the EOS 60D, boasting 18-megapixel resolution, a three-inch Vari-Angle Clear View LCD screen, EOS Full HD video recording with manual overrides including audio level control, and in-camera functionality for RAW image processing plus Creative Filters to manipulate images after taking them. Designed primarily for advanced amateurs, the EOS 60D boasts a broad array of new features that make it easier for photographers to add personal creativity to their images. Whether it's capturing an overhead shot on the Vari-Angle screen at a graduation ceremony, or converting a color image to black and white for a nostalgic look, Canon is delivering in-camera features and functions that empower advanced photographers to capture, display and print the images they want.

Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens
The Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM is the sixth generation of a venerable family of Canon 300mm f/2.8 lenses and features improved image quality, lighter weight, improved Image Stabilization and enhanced durability, making it a great option for handheld work in the field. The optical formula of the new lens has been completely redesigned with the inclusion of two fluorite lens elements for improved image quality and reduced chromatic aberration. Helping to reduce arm fatigue, Canon has reduced the overall weight of the lens by 8 percent to 82.9 oz., making it the lightest weight lens in the Canon EF 300mm f/2.8 series.

Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens
Quintessential for many sports assignments including baseball, football, soccer and golf, Canon's professional 400mm f/2.8 lenses provide the light gathering capability and long telephoto reach that photographers need to freeze the action and fill the frame . The Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM is the fifth generation in Canon's 400mm f/2.8 series and has been engineered for the ultimate in optical performance through the use of two fluorite lens elements for improved quality and reduced chromatic aberration. Helping photographers in the field, Canon has dramatically reduced the overall weight of the lens by a substantial 28 percent from 189.4 oz to 135.8 oz, making it Canon's lightest weight 400mm f/2.8 lens ever.

CPS Service Program
Canon will once again host an exclusive CPS Member Lounge and Camera Clinic during this year's PhotoPlus Expo in New York. The lounge, located in room 2D12, is open to CPS Members Only and visitors will need to present their CPS membership card at the door for access to the lounge. Technical representatives will be available to answer product questions. In addition, Gold and Platinum level CPS members can take advantage of a free on-site Clean and Check service provided by CPS Service Technicians for Canon digital equipmenti.

Canon Studio Solution Software
Also on display in the booth will be Canon's Studio Solution software for workflow efficiency in professional photo studios. Canon's Studio Solution software helps professional operations take full advantage of Canon's core imaging and printing technologies with fully automatic workflows to simplify studio operations and integrate appointments, invoicing, image enhancement and printing into one comprehensive program. Through electronic input and filing, Studio Solution software helps consolidate scheduling, contracts, image capture, ordering, retouching and printing into one program.
