UK, 18 MAY 2009 - Press Association Images has strengthened its partnership with Scandinavian press agency, Scanpix by signing an agreement to represent the prestigious Scanpix Bildhuset collection. Following announcements that Press Association Images now offer the John Birdsall Social Issues library and the DPA Creative collection, this is the third creative imagery deal signed this year.
“In the tough economic climate, picture buyers are demanding a broader selection of both editorial and creative imagery from picture agencies. Recognising that requirement, Press Association Images has been developing its own creative collection over the last year and we’re now strengthening that offering through partnerships with international partners like Scanpix and DPA, as well as niche libraries like John Birdsall”, said marketing manager, Jenny Teasdale.
The Scanpix Bildhuset collection features images from some of Scandinavia’s finest photographers to illustrate health, lifestyle, people, nature and business. 4,000 images are online; all of which are large, high quality and model released. Over the coming months, a further 10,000 images will be released online.
“We are very happy to have the leading picture agency in the UK representing our creative collection. Scandinavia is known for its characteristics in design, architecture and light and the Scanpix Bildhuset collection reflects these characteristics. We are convinced that Press Association Images will be able to use the full potential of the collection”, said Lina Hedenström, marketing manager at Scanpix.
Creative images can be found at www.pressassociation.com/images. The team also offer a free research service.
