SWEDEN, 14 APRIL 2009 - Johnér Images expands its Nordic operations to include direct sales in Norway and Finland. This follows the launch of our company in Denmark 12 months ago. This new initiative means clients in Norway and Finland can now gain direct access to around half a million high quality images and footage clips and do image searches in their native language.
This development is entirely in line with our business concept of offering images with a Nordic feel. There is a huge need and tremendous interest in images with an unmistakable Nordic touch in these countries. This investment will enable us to get closer to our clients in Norway and Finland and provide them with a better service. We have offered a similar service in Denmark for the past 12 months,” says Mattias Josefsson, Managing Director at Johnér Images.
We also launched our in house production platform for HD footage 12 months ago. Footage are in great demand from the advertising industry in particular and increasing continuously on the digital market. This was a natural move for us due to the resources we already possessed and thanks to the Johnér Motion teams unique know-how,” adds Josefsson.
The footage and still images are based on the same basic philosophy – a Nordic feel in terms of light, colours, tones and choice of motif, which is the Johnér business concept. A concept that has proved incredibly successful in both Sweden and internationally. In the space of 11 years, Johnér Images has become the leading Swedish image bank on the commercial images market. The company is represented worldwide via a comprehensive agent network.
Purchases in Norway and Finland can now be made on line at www.johner.no and fi.johner.com. Johnér images were previously sold via agents in Norway and Finland.
