Titled ‘Masters of Photography’, the first of four events taking place in Hong Kong, Copenhagen, New York and London was inaugurated in the spacious Artis Tree Gallery in Taikoo Shing in the presence of an illustrious crowd of over 100 guests, including Hasselblad’s Executive Chairman Dr. Larry Hansen and Christian Nørgaard, Photographer Relations Manager at Hasselblad.
The master class with Danish food photographer René Riis, who shared the stage with Demon-Chef Alvin Leung of Michelin star decorated BO Innovation Restaurant in Hong Kong, has been a dignified and exciting opening event that makes the guests wish for more. Also previous Hasselblad Masters Don Jian Cheng, Xie Mo and Tang Hui from China gave exclusive insights of their mastery in photography. ‘I think the scale and quality of the Hong Kong Exhibition lives up to the high quality of the Hasselblad Masters Program and is setting standards for future activities in this area, not only local to scene but also to the rest of the world’ says Egon Heldner, Managing Director of Shriro (H.K.) Ltd. The Hong Kong show will run from August 21 – 30. It is open to the public for free and offers a variety of photography related seminars and workshops.
