Fujifilm Responds to Market Shift towards Dry Digital Print Technology Solutions
Valhalla, NY, September 23, 2009 – FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. today announced its intention to cease production of pictrography materials effective February 2010 as the company continues to lead the industry with investments and innovations in the future of dry, digital print technology.
“Increasingly businesses are investing in new dry digital print technologies, such as inkjet,” said Doug Fachnie. “Fujifilm looks forward to helping its pictrography materials customers in identifying the most suitable inkjet or dye sublimation solutions for their future business requirements.”
Fujifilm will receive final shipments of its pictrography materials in April 2010 for US distribution. That product is expected to have a shelf life expiration of February 2012. Sale of these materials is expected to end early 2011 depending on inventory.
As the leading provider of inkjet print heads, high performance colorants for the inkjet printing sector, and inks and consumables for the inkjet, screen and narrow web print markets, Fujifilm continues to bring its retail, commercial and professional customers the widest range of imaging technologies, all built on an unparalleled photographic heritage and a commitment to delivering the highest quality color output.
Customers using Fujifilm pictrography materials should contact their Fujifilm sales representative or authorized Fujifilm distributor for more information.
