Dubai Knowledge Village hosts photography event

2010-02-05 10:08:03 (PR-Inside) - Gulf Photo Plus, a celebration of the art of photography, will be taking place in Dubai from March 1st to 6th.

Photography enthusiasts from around the world will be heading to Dubai for the Gulf Photo Plus exhibition next month.

Featuring a series of seminars and workshops held by leading photographers, the event runs from March 1st to 6th at Dubai Knowledge Village, the city's huge education and training campus.

This year, special guests include fashion snapper Melissa Rodwell, award-winning photojournalist Steve Simon

and Vincent Laforet, a photographer and film-maker with a Pulitzer Prize to his name.

Many aspiring photographers will be aiming to improve their skills by using accommodation in Dubai (www.asiarooms.com/united_arab_emirates/dubai.html) and attending the Gulf Photo Plus workshops, which range from an introduction to digital photography to on-location shooting.

On March 5th, the site is given over to Time Out's Photo Friday, which is described by the organisers as "an inspirational day out for anyone interested in seeing wonderful images and hearing about all things photography".

However, you do not have to be handy with a camera to enjoy the event, as the diverse programme of lectures and panel discussions means there should be something for everyone.

Tickets for individual sessions on Photo Friday are priced at 50 dirhams (£8.50), while an all-day pass is available for 150 dirhams.
